colThe golden leaves are falling from the tree's and the bushes are littered with lush red berries. I have not yet seen any Redwing's or Feildfares but I am hoping to soon. I especially love Feildfares. The swallows, martins and swifts that once danced, shrieking across the skies have been replaced by different birds. Ones like the Redwing's and Feildfares that have travelled from Scandinavia or further afield.
I particularly love the Bewick's Swan's. They come in the autumn and shelter here throughout the cold months. To me they are more of a sign of winter than the Robin, for they stay here throughout the freezing season then leave in the warm air of spring. I have not had much time to go birdwatching in the past week, but Wildlife is everywhere (even in the most urban of places...I will touch further on this in a later blog) and so I have seen a few birds and animals. I saw once again the local Buzzard as it lifted off from the tips of a young tree, the local blackbirds and sparrows foraging in the bushes, the rooks flocking around the local rookery, jackdaws and wood pigeons pecking at the earth, a mute swan family and a late cygnet in a local canal, cormorants flying above the river and just today a female Roe Deer standing to one side of a field. (I wish I had my camera with me...). I am about to create a YouTube Channel to connect to this blog. On that I will post video's connected to what I put in the Blog, different Wildlife activities and other video's that I hope those of you who watch will enjoy. Have a nice day and goodbye!
